Tom, thanks for the post. Very helpful! One question - have you run into any problems with centering the text (in one screen even through the text has been "center aligned" - it appears too far to the left. It seems to correct itself when the text is larger - rather pesky. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I too have rendered my sort by artist list useless for the same reasons. On the ipod touch I know that the artists are at least searchable by first letter. Even that would be useful. To have all my A artists in a single folder (A.F.I to Azure), my B artists in another folder (Bad Company to Bystanders) and so on.

I am using GPS photolinker(http://www.earlyinnovations.com/gpsphotolinker/) and it doesn't seem to have any problems writing to the Canon Raw files. I don't know how it does it but it works and when I import into Aperture after using Photolinker the Lat/Long is all there.

Thanks for sharing.

So, how is it going? We did not have satellite or cable, but recently left a good area for broadcast television for a place in the mountains. Streaming has been going very well for us, but there have been a few shows missed. (I, too, would love to have Primeval. I may watch the auction/merchant sites and cheap dvd bins...) I have not touched Apple's offerings as of yet. There really has not been much need.

How has Boxee been since this posting? I confess I have not heard of it before.

I didn't have that problem, but it sounds like a timezone issue. Do your camera and computer timezones match up? If they do, maybe something is defaulting to Pacific time zone (which would be why I never had a problem); there might be a command line switch which tells the tool which time zone to use. That's an out-there guess, though.

Currently I'm no longer using the DNG step, as I upgraded my camera to the 40D whose raw format supports geocoding without the extra step. However, when I was using the DNG step, my times were kept consistent throughout.

I'm running into issues when converting .CRW from a EOS300D into DNG. Somehow the conversion messes up the timestamps. Everything get's shifted +3 hours. You don't have this problem?
